چکیده

We extend our earlier results [1; 2; 4] on the issue of weighted aggregations to linguistic importance weighted aggregations when both the importances (interpreted as benchmarks) and the ratings are given by symmetric triangular fuzzy numbers. We show that (unlike the case with finite term sets) small changes in the membership functions of the weights can cause only small variations in the (crisp) weighted aggregate.

Benchmarking in linguistic importance weighted aggregations

In this work we concentrate on the issue of weighted aggregations and provide a possibilistic approach to the process of importance weighted transformation when both the importances (interpreted as benchmarks) and the ratings are given by symmetric triangular fuzzy numbers. We will show that using the possibilistic approach (i) small changes in the membership function of the importances can cau...

Using Heavy Aggregations in a Unified Model between the Weighted Average and the Owa Operator

We introduce a new aggregation operator called the heavy ordered weighted averaging – weighted averaging (HOWAWA) operator. It is a new aggregation operator that uses the weighted average and the ordered weighted average in the same formulation and considering the degree of importance that each concept has in the analysis. Moreover, by using heavy aggregations, we are allowing the weighting vec...

Identification of Web Information using Concept Hierarchies and On-line Updates of Concept Importance

The Internet users have to perform a lot of search to find web pages with relevant information. The paper proposes an approach for utilization of a hierarchy of concepts to perform identification of web pages in the environment of the Semantic Web. A user provides a hierarchy of concepts that can only partially “cover” their domain of interest. Ontologies related to that domain are used to inst...

Possibility and necessity in weighted aggregation

Yager [14] discussed the issue of weighted min and max aggregations and provided for a formalization of the process of importance weighted transformation. Generalizing Yager’s principle we suggest the use of fuzzy implication operators for importance weighted transformation.

A New Look into the Construct Validity of the IELTS Speaking Module

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of linguistic and intelligence factors in the Iranian IELTS candidates’ speaking performance.
